August ended on a high note for Hog Roast Bulwick as we had the pleasure of catering for one of the most exciting outdoor festivals of the season! This two-day extravaganza was a whirlwind of fun and entertainment, drawing hundreds of enthusiastic festival-goers ready for non-stop excitement.
The festival buzzed with activity from start to finish. Attendees were treated to a stellar lineup of bands and epic DJ sets that kept the energy high. Kids bounced their hearts out on bouncy castles, while furry friends stole the show at an adorable dog show. Stalls lined the festival grounds, offering everything from charming local crafts to gourmet treats. With such a variety of activities, guests were encouraged to pitch a tent and soak in the festival atmosphere under the stars, making it an immersive weekend-long experience.
When it came to food, Hog Roast Bulwick was on hand both days to ensure that every bite was as memorable as the festivities themselves. Our iconic hog roast sandwiches quickly became a festival favourite. Served in freshly baked gluten-free rolls, these sandwiches were generously packed with juicy pulled pork, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and applesauce. Each sandwich came with a side of coleslaw and a mix of sweet potato and traditional fries—comfort food at its finest. And, of course, we didn’t forget our vegan and vegetarian friends! Hog Roast Bulwick’s BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls were an instant hit, offering a smokey, sweet, and flavourful experience that perfectly satisfied plant-based cravings.
The festival was a blast for Hog Roast Bulwick, not just for the food but for the people we met and the conversations we had. We shared our hog roasting secrets with curious festival-goers and even handed out a few business cards to those interested in private event catering. The dry weather was the cherry on top, making the entire weekend even more enjoyable. From the lively performances to the delicious food, the festival was an unforgettable event. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to round off August and are already looking forward to the next opportunity to bring our delicious hog roasts to more exciting events!
