Jen’s best friend since childhood is getting married this spring and she has been selected as the maid of honour. Part of her role includes organising the perfect hen party for Jen and the rest of the bridesmaids to enjoy. For the hen weekend, she has found a beautiful log cabin in Northamptonshire that will sleep all 16 guests and she has packed the itinerary full of activities and outings to keep them busy! The end of the weekend is a delicious Sunday dinner served by Hog Roast Desborough at the cabin, which will be well-needed after such a busy few days. Our catering manager Ben is sure that our menu will be a great treat for the women and will be perfect for fighting off any lingering hangovers from the night before!
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Desborough team will arrive at the private venue in the morning to ensure that we have plenty of time to prepare all of our dishes on-site. We will start by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. Once ready, the succulent pork will be expertly carved and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving roasted baby potatoes, seasonal roasted vegetables, and rich homemade gravy, to create the perfect Sunday lunch. We will have plenty to go around, including enough for seconds, and we are sure that our catering will be the ideal way to end the hen weekend.
