A unique visitation with Hog Roast Lamport

Hog Roast Lamport’s catering manager Ben went to visit Furtho Manor Farm last weekend to meet the friendly bride-to-be Sunny, her fiancé and the venue owner. Sunny and her partner will be having their wedding at the farm this July with Hog Roast Lamport as their caterers. Ben has never catered at a location with this much history and historic architecture. It is a traditional, rural charm situated in the Northamptonshire countryside. Known as one of East Midlands ‘lost villages’ with a 15th century dovecote as a unique back drop for a special wedding photo.

Furtho Manor now boasts a gorgeous barn with ample space for your entire day’s proceedings. The barn acts as a blank canvas for you and your partner to create a space that’s as wonderfully bespoke as the love you share.

The happy couple’s ceremony will be taking place on the picturesque lawn next to the serine lake. They certainly won’t struggle for magical backdrops for their wedding photos on the day! The wedding breakfast and reception will be held in the barn that has a rustic feel with a wooden bar at the back. Having Ben meet them at the venue means that they have agreed on the best place for the food to be served from leaving plenty of space for Hog Roast Lamport’s set up with the couple’s menu choice.

Hog Roast LamportAfter the ceremony, the reception drinks and canapés will be served on the lawn so that the guests can continue to enjoy the scenery. As a wedding expert, Ben advised them on the timings of the food and speeches. From past experience, with the times that the couple originally intended, the evening guests would arrive before the wedding breakfast had finished. They were grateful of the direction from Ben and have now adjusted the timings of the day.

Sunny and her man are particularly excited about the food and Ben wishes them the best of luck with the lead up to their special day.
