Today’s Hog Roast Towcester event was catering at a wedding for bride and groom Harriet and Jonathan. The lovely coupled had contacted our Hog Roast Towcester team several months ago in order to help plan their dream day and of course we were more than happy to provide our services.
Led by catering manager Ben and Beth, the Hog Roast Towcester wedding catering team had a large task ahead. Preparing our classic wedding menu three for one hundred and fifty adults in addition to thirty children there would be plenty to do so as usual we arrived at the venue bright and early to get everything set up and the food cooking away.
The venue for Jonathan and Harriet’s wedding reception was their own home in Markyate and when we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful set up they had created. We were given an area outdoors from which to cater from whilst guests would be seated underneath a stunning marque just in case the weather decided to be uncooperative.
First up was our Hog Roast Towcester canapés. The couple had made their selection of canapés which included a Selection of Mini Indian Snacks, Mini Yorkshire Pudding Filled With Finest Beef Fillet And A Horseradish Dressing and Smoked Salmon on Fresh Brown Bread With Black Pepper and Fresh Lemon Wedges.
Our Hog Roast Towcester main course was our signature whole spit roasted pig served up with lots of homemade sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling and tangy applesauce which would be served family style to tables of guests.In addition to the meat we had a vibrant range of accompaniments including a tomato and mozzarella salad, Mixed Green Salad, Tomato Basil Pasta Salad and some Herb Buttered New Potato’s.
We finished up the meal by serving our homemade profiteroles and fresh fruit salad. Once the bride and groom had cut the wedding cake, we also served this to guests along with tea and coffee.
As guests started to party, we prepared the evening meal of some classic bacon rolls and used up the remaining roast too. By the end of the night there were no leftovers which is just how we like it. We congratulated the happy couple once more and discreetly tidied away our things. Another successful Hog Roast Towcester wedding!
