Bringing the Community Together Over a Festive Christmas Lunch with Hog Roast Ettington

Hog Roast NorthamptonshireHog Roast Ettington has made Christmas come early this year for the guests at the Ettington Community centre, with a festive menu bringing the community together on Sunday 14th December. There were 80 hungry mouths for us to feed, who were all ready and waiting for an early Christmas dinner. With a serve time of 1pm, the team set up early, long before the guests arrived to create an unforgettable festive feast. The team was focused on smooth service to provide a relaxed atmosphere for everyone involved.

The menu was designed with a variety of tastes in mind whilst keeping a clear focus on classic Christmas flavours. Guests could choose between our fan favourites; our whole roasted pig or tender turkey, both slow roasted on site and carved in front of the attendees for that extra interactive touch. Both choices came with all the trimmings, freshly made apple sauce and homemade sage and onion stuffing with the pork, while the turkey was paired with fresh cranberry sauce and the same traditional stuffing.

The Hog Roast Ettington team always ensures that all guests are catered for, no matter what their dietary requirements are. Grilled vegetable skewers, with halloumi included for vegetarians and removed for vegans, were served in wraps with tzatziki and a sweet chilli sauce that added a bit of punch. The meat alternative options Hog Roast Northamptonare always packed with as much flavour as the main event, proving that all guests are considered, rather than their options being an after thought.

And what’s a Christmas dinner without the hearty sides? Floured bread rolls and wraps (with wholemeal and gluten-free options), homemade cauliflower cheese, a seasonal vegetable medley, roasted potatoes, pigs in blankets, and plenty of rich homemade gravy to go around.

Our experienced catering manager Ben and the rest of the Hog Roast Ettington team ensured that the event was well organised, allowing guests to relax, catch up with each other, and enjoy their lunch at their own pace. The Ettington Community Centre was filled with people sharing stories, discussing their favourite part of the meal and laughter.

We were proud to be part of such a memorable community event and to help make the Christmas lunch one that would have people talking for years to come. Hog Roast Ettington would like to thank everyone at Ettington Community Centre for the warm welcome, festive spirit and we look forward to many more occasions like this in the future.
