Last weekend, Hog Roast Bozeat had the pleasure of catering for a christening ceremony, which was organised by new parents James and Erin. The happy couple welcomed their baby girl, Julia, earlier this year and were excited to introduce her to their faith. So they had decided to hold a small and intimate ceremony with only their closest friends and relatives in attendance; after which they all headed back to James and Erin’s home, where they celebrated the occasion with a hearty feast!
The team at Hog Roast Bozeat was more than happy to provide catering services for this special event, and our catering manager, Ben, worked closely with James and Erin to create a menu that would suit the occasion perfectly.
The agreed upon menu included our trademark succulent hog roast with crispy crackling, savoury sage and onion stuffing, sweet applesauce and gluten-free rolls along with a meat-free alternative of BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls. As always, the couple was free to choose from a variety of side options, which added depth and extra flavour to the menu. From the available choices, the pair selected gourmet coleslaw, mixed sweet potato and regular fries, and heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella pasta.
Knowing that guests eat with their eyes first, Hog Roast Bozeat’s catering crew made sure the meal was beautifully presented, which, paired with the mouth-watering aromas, made everyone all the more eager to tuck in!
Everyone was thoroughly impressed with the feast Hog Roast Bozeat’s caterers presented, but our team wasn’t done quite yet! To satisfy the guests’ sweet tooth cravings, our caterers had rustled up some delicious dessert options. Tarte au citron and summer fruit pudding with fresh cream and berries was the perfect end to a beautiful meal, and everyone complimented the light and refreshing flavours.
It was a joy and a privilege to be a part of such a special occasion and Hog Roast Bozeat is honoured to have been chosen to cater for this christening celebration. Most importantly, we are delighted that everyone enjoyed the meal and that James and Erin were happy with the service we provided.
