This summer wedding season has brought us so many incredible moments at Hog Roast Northampton. We’ll be sad it goodbye in just a few weeks, but until then we have little doubt that we have many more special moments to come.
Special moments, for example, like the one our team enjoyed at Grendon Lakes this past weekend, as head chef Ben and the Hog Roast Northampton catered for the wonderful wedding reception of Mike and Sue. Grendon Lakes was an inspired choice for a wedding venue. With the summer air the pair were able to make full use of the beautiful glamping grounds. There was stunning views out to the Northamptonshire lakes with a lakeside marquee setting down a wonderful summertime vibe for all guests to enjoy. And the lake provided more than just a backdrop, too, as Grendon Lakes also offer the bride and groom the chance to set out on a boat ride. Mike and Sue gladly took up the offer, making for some stunning photos to add to their wedding collection, along with a very special moment not only for them, but everyone in attendance including the Hog Roast Northampton team. What brilliant a place to cater in – we will cherish that moment for some time.
With the cooling of the lakeside views, it was up to the Hog Roast Northampton to add some sizzle and heat back into the event. Our southern slow roast menu was just the thing to do so, bringing a tonne of spice, sizzle, and smoky barbecue tastes into the mix. Our head chef Ben had our meats cooking from early on in the morning as our menu here favours a “low and slow” approach to really intensify the flavour of our dry rubs and marinades, while also ensuring the meat turns lovely and tender. Our Texan style beef brisket, Cajun spiced chickens, and BBQ pork butt could not have come out any better. Guests could enjoy their choice of meat along with some cooling Greek salad, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, creamy mac and cheese, gourmet coleslaw, and traditional fries.
