Planning a wedding is often a hectic experience, with so much to do and seemingly so little time. This week we were catering at a wedding in Little Ditton. Our catering manager Ben had spoken to the clients and arranged to provide our classic menu four option. This menu encompasses our signature spit roasted pig served with a fresh mixed salad, crunchy coleslaw and seasonal roasted vegetables. Additionally, we would be serving some roasted potatoes with gravy and not forgetting the Yorkshire puddings!
We had been asked to provide food for the evening reception for around eighty-five guests and so we would be arriving late afternoon in order to get everything prepared. The room had been decorated beautifully with lots of balloons and hand-crafted decorations including lovely touches such as ‘Mr and Mrs’ signs that really gave the venue a romantic feeling and we couldn’t wait to congratulate the newly wedded couple.
Once the guests arrived and everyone was seated, we began to serve, and the guests all seemed delighted with our menu. After serving up our main course, Hog Roast Wolverton had another trick up our sleeves in the form of our desert. Beautifully moreish Meringue nests which our team served to tables with along with coulis, berries and cream. The perfect end to what we are sure was a perfect day for the happy couple!
