If ever you wanted to know what the life of a caterer is like, you only need to look as far as this past weekend to see that even when we aren’t catering for weddings, we’ve still got weddings on the mind and are prepping for the next one.
This weekend the Hog Roast Northampton had the privilege of joining one of our partnered venues for their very special autumn wedding fair, as the Grendon Lakes Wedding Fair invited in the public to come and see the venue as it could look in action while the best of the best from the Northampton wedding industry exhibited their products and services. Joining this elite line-up of industry specialists, the Hog Roast Northampton team, who enjoyed a wonderful Sunday afternoon chatting to guests, handing out our hog roast samples, and even getting dates lined up for weddings in the year ahead!
A wedding fair is always a fun time. There’s so much to do and see; colour and music to be enjoyed everywhere; food and raffles and dances all available. Even for those not currently in the midst of planning a wedding, it is just a great day out overall. It is fun for our team even to be working in such an atmosphere. It makes for a different pace from our usual event services. We don’t quite have to do as much of the leg work in attending to every guest and delivering an unforgettable dining experience. What we do get to do however is tease a little bit of that dining experience with our hog roast samples. These samples always hook in the guests, who we then get the privilege of chatting to about weddings, dining, and events generally. This weekend’s selection of guests and conversations were all excellent; our thanks go to everyone that came by the Hog Roast Northampton booth and chatted to us a for a while.
