Having opted for a number of hog roasts for events over the years, I have to say that this was one of, if not the best!

From booking to clear down, the professionalism and customer service was excellent.

On the day, the communication was spot on for set up and the food got rave reviews from all of our guests.

They were very responsive prior to booking and the food was very fresh and delicious. Plates, cutlery etc. were all well organised so it made my day a lot easier than when we have used other catering options.

OMG !!!!! what can I say about this company but only great things, from the very first conversation I haven't been disappointed and were blown over by the food They certainly know how to deliver.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and was originally looking for a hog roast - but as soon as we saw the Spitting Pig Southern Slow Roast menu we knew that was the one to go for. And it did not disappoint. From the initial contact to delivery the whole team were polite, courteous and helpful.

We catered for 40 but there was plenty of left-overs. Ben, our catering manager, said they always make sure there is enough for seconds and more - and there was! And is was all delicious - the main meats (we chose BBQ pork, Texas beef and Cajun whole chicken), the sides (roast new potatoes, buttered corn, gourmet coleslaw), a great selection of different breads and hot/mopping sauces to die for.

Yum! Fabulous. All our guests were impressed by the quality of the food and its presentation. We highly recommend Spitting Pig for your catering needs.

Really fantastic service, great food and the staff were efficient. A special mention for the 2 chaps working the event who were a delight! Thank you all 🙂

One friend had been to an event also catered by Spitting Pig the previous evening and was delighted to see them again! I would just like to say Thank You to Spitting Pig for the work you did at our BBQ party last Sunday. Louis and Calen arrived as scheduled and quickly set up the hog roast and prepared the rest of the food. The food was really well presented, served at the agreed time and all our guests commented on how good it was, in fact several have asked for your contact details so I hope you will get more orders in the future!

We were also very impressed by how quickly and efficiently they tidied up after the food service, removing rubbish and leaving the cooking area perfectly clean with people hardly noticing them being there.

Hi Kate We had a roast for my wedding reception and it was the best choice I have ever made. The people at the company have helped and advised from the start, and then just before the event contacted me to make sure every eventuality was covered. On the day the staff set up, finished off, served over 80 people efficiently and there was plenty to go around. Great side choices of salad, fries, etc made sure that everyone was happy. Hi there Kate, I have only fantastic feedback from my guests, and personally I thought the food was so delicious!!! I had the burger, sausage and the kebabs with sweet potato fries. Hello Kate Well is the event was a garden party and it was chucking it down with rain throughout the team did very well.  Throughout they were accommodating and helpful. We negotiated a site as close to the house as possible and they just got on with it. Serving at the agreed time. Cleared away without any fuss and left everywhere tidy. Many positive comments were received from our guests so I was pleased. We had the best time at our family gathering on July 8th! Ben and co arrived promptly at 10.30 as planned and set up their gazebo and cooking equipment very efficiently on the decked area with no fuss in spite of the intermittent showers! The food was prepared and ready for us as requested around 1pm - although Ben had already told us that he could present it slightly earlier or later according to our needs which was really helpful given the numbers of children involved in our party! The food was absolutely delicious - the pork, chicken and lamb were so tasty with just the right level of spice - the salad was so fresh and the mac and cheese went down a storm! I would say that the fries were a great hit with the children - but the adults enjoyed them just as much! We had leftovers too which was all plated up beautifully and everyone enjoyed hearty suppers on their own turf! Ben packed everything away just as efficiently and you wouldn’t know they'd been there. Hello Kate Thank you - we had a wonderful day and Kerry and Louis were just brilliant. Everything was perfect - they arrived in good time, coped well with the cricket match, food smelt delicious as people were arriving, it was served exactly on time and they managed to cope with people who were late or got lost and arrived in the Islip near Oxford instead of Northampton. At the end they left overs were packed up for us and have been enjoyed at home since. Right from my first enquiry with you the company has been very efficient and clear in what it was able to do. Hello Kate We all had a lovely time thank you. Your staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. It was great not to have to organise the plates, cutlery and of course the clearing up afterwards. The bamboo is excellent as you don’t have to worry about a ‘bendy’ plate and cutlery. Everyone loved the hog roast and stuffing, said it tasted really good. I think a couple of the men went back for 3rds. The veggie option was good too. Even some of the kids in the park next door were asking if they could have some!! Hi Kate, Your hog roast went down extremely well last week! The two members of staff arrived early, were ready for when the masses descended on them and had plenty spare for people to have seconds! The pork and condiments were so tasty and every single person had nothing but good comments about it and the choice. I didn’t have chance to thank you on the day as there were so many family and friends to catch up with but I wanted to let you know how grateful we were. Many of our guests commented on the tasty food, the chocolate tortes were a real winner! It was all so beautifully presented too! A massive thank you to Ben and all the people who emailed me when I was making amendments or having last minute panics asking if there would be enough food, without a doubt there was plenty with many of our guests enjoying seconds! Hi Penny, Just coming back down from cloud 9 now 🙂 The food was outstanding throughout the day - everyone commented on how lovely it tasted! I initially didn't want people to have to queue for their food, however the staff were so fantastic and attentive that it took barely any time at all for everyone to be fed - there was so much to go around that everyone was pleasantly surprised they could have seconds! Even our fussy eaters didn't have a bad word to say! - The Hog Roast in the evening not only tasted great but looked great too! Considering you were not our original caterers you stepped in to save our day and it seems to have been a blessing in disguise as we should have used you all along! Morning Kate – I was going to email you this morning.  Friday`s event was fabulous.  The guys were extremely organised, on time with service – really efficient – and the food was delicious.  I had so many positive comments in the afternoon from the staff who had thoroughly enjoyed the fayre.  I will certainly be considering booking again and letting my other offices know about how good it was.  Thank you very much.  We did some posting on LinkedIn in the afternoon with some pics. Hi, I've used Spitting Pig Northamptonshire a few times times now and they haven't let me down once! The hog roast is always cooked to perfection especially the crackling which is extra crispy! The staff are always polite, efficient and prepared leaving nothing for me to stress about. Definitely a firm family favourite!

Even when things didn't go to plan during the setup Paul and Lucy were calm and worked out solutions quickly without stress. It was great! We thoroughly enjoyed it and so did our guests. We send our compliments to the Spitting Pig team who served us with professionalism, courteousness, patience and complete understanding for our situation, which required them to be agile and dynamic - they executed the delicious meal with aplomb. One grandson said that they were lovely to him, and he was one of their first customers; another granddaughter said that she went back for seconds, after everyone else, and said that they were still really nice! We had changed the date several times due to COVID restrictions and Spitting Pig could not have been more helpful and accommodating . Ben turned up when he said and the hog roast was served perfectly cooked and on time .The bread basket and accompaniments were great too. Dear Ben, A great big thank you to you and your team for the fantastic food on Saturday and the excellent service. Everyone really enjoyed the roasts - even our picky neighbour, who was delighted to find rare beef on the table. The Spitting Pig Team were amazing, I would definitely book Ben again.  The food and service provided was  fantastic, we couldn’t fault anything. The food presented was cooked well and looked and tasted great.  Everyone commented on how professional the team at Spitting Pig were.  The guys were friendly, helpful and even washed down the drive area were they had cooked. We booked Spitting Pig Northamptonshire for our wedding having been won over by the taste of all the samples at our tasting. We were truly blown away by the professionalism and service leading up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding. The food tasted amazing, as we expected. And we were very happy with the set up, service and clean up. The staff were friendly and they were flexible when faced with an unfortunate number of venue changes leading up to the day of.

The team were amazing. The food was raved about by our whole team and the partners that attended the dinner. They were super responsive and made the whole process a breeze. I am so grateful for their professionalism and being truly amazing at their craft. Their rating is well earned and certainly deserved.

Hello! I was DELIGHTED with my hog roast! The food was amazing, so many people commented on how lovely it was. Ed and Beth were brilliant, really professional, polite and so helpful. They took really good care of the service and the set up/ clearing up. They couldn’t have been more caring, and braved the rain to make sure the event went smoothly! I am delighted with the service I’ve had, I would recommend you to anyone (in fact you recommended yourselves to quite a few of my guests who took your number). Thank you SO much, it was worth every penny. So so tasty!

Ben and the girls absolutely smashed it at my birthday party they were professional and friendly and delivered great food in large quantities. I have had nothing but compliments from my family and friends about their food. If you are thinking about booking for your event stop thinking about it and do it! Initially it might seem a bit pricey but it’s great value for money and quality is worth that little bit extra.

Hello Ben at Spitting Pig Sheila and I had the most fantastic time on 28^th April. The hog roast, vegetables, salads, sausages and burgers went down a storm. And as for the desserts – they were out of this world. Thank you so much for your efforts in making the afternoon go so well. All the guests were so impressed with the food. It was so good, that there wasn’t much left over, which was a surprise to me as I thought my freezer would be full. We can’t fault any part of your contribution and would happily recommend your company to anyone looking for a really special caterer with such a varied menu. We had a great celebration last Thursday. The hog roast was delicious and everyone said what a refreshing change it made. Ben and his wife were delightful. They turned up on time with everything they needed. Set up, served and cleared away beautifully and were charming and polite. Several members asked for the details of your organization and the manager of MICA Centre has included your card in the wedding package he is preparing. Hello All, Just wanted to thank you for helping to make our event a great success. Everything went very smoothly and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food. Timings went as agreed and all the catering staff were very polite and friendly. We’d also like to take this opportunity to say a special thanks to the assistance the guys gave when one of our guests tripped over and cut his head. They responded very quickly and took great pains to ensure that he was attended to. This extra attention certainly was appreciated. Hi Sarah, It went great thanks, apart from the weather at least! The staff were really brilliant, very friendly and were quite happy setting up independently and everything. We had good feedback on the food, everyone enjoyed it and there was some left over so people could visit again (we didn’t have quite the turnout we expected due to the weather) and what was left they left behind. Hi Folks Sorry not to have got back sooner (I work in a school so we had end of term chaos and then I was in Italy) The food was excellent and popular with all my guests. The salads just as I wanted – not a mouthful of coleslaw in sight. Lovely to have warm potatoes. No bread rolls visible until everyone had eaten but perfect for those who went back for a late night top up – just as I wanted. The hog was outstanding – lots of people commented on it and on the stuffing, crackling and apple sauce. We put the rest in the freezer and are still enjoying it – the sliced meat particularly. Ben was great: efficient, helpful, patient and discreet. I will definitely use you again if you are still around for my 70th Many thanks
