Wedding Catering At A Beautiful Mansion House For 100 Guests!

Northamptonshire - venueHog Roast Roade has catered events and parties at all kinds of lovely venues over the years but our team was suitably impressed with a recent visit to Luton Hoo. The Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa is a grand 5* property on the borders of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. The elegant Mansion House that greets you as you arrive is gorgeous, as are the grounds that it’s set in – over a thousand acres of stunning gardens, woodland, meadows, rivers, lakes and nature trails abound. The grounds are so large that there is even a fleet of customised London taxis available, which ferry guests around – for free! Suffice to say, this is a wonderfully romantic place to get married, like our customers thought when they booked us to cater their wedding meal there with our Menu 1 – glorious pigs in buns.

To make our infamous hog roast rolls, we roast a hog from scratch at your venue, after preparing the meat by scoring it, adding water and then smothering it with salt. It then cooks away for several hours as we watch over it and then once rested, we slice off the crispy crackling, carve away at the meat and add bits of both to floury bread rolls or wraps, together with our own apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing. These pieces of heaven are clear favourites of our customers, and at Hog Roast Roade, we’ve had years of practice to perfect them.

For the bride and groom’s special day, we were also asked to cook our vegetable skewers, which always prove a hit with vegetarians and we can make them without Northamptonshire - set up4halloumi so that they’re suitable for vegan guests, too. We actually have lots of choices for guests with dietary requirements, as we want everyone to love our food, regardless of diet or personal choice.

Between 7pm and 9pm, our Hog Roast Roade chef and team members were serving a hundred guests with plenty of our delicious food. The surroundings and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect and from the empty plates that came back, we’re sure that everyone thought our food was too.
