Hog Roast Oundle’s catering managers Ben and Beth had the pleasure of meeting Robyn and her groom to be at their wedding venue in Peterborough on Sunday. A venue that looks like nothing much on the outside other than a rustic farmhouse, becomes the most magical and enchanting space on the inside.
Inside has been completely transformed into a state of pure rustic-wedding bliss. It has the most amazing character wooden beams that are circled with fairy lights across the entire lengths, charming light fabric curtains hang in between the beams, there is a quaint wooden bar to the left as you walk in from a lovely grass courtyard. It is completely quirky with seating areas, mirrors, and frames to pose behind! A space with the best potential to make any wedding dreams come true.
As Ben and Beth arrived early, the owner of the barn showed them the designated catering area with a sink, fridge, and electric points. Having a venue with a set up like this is a mobile caterers dream! They briefly discussed the potential areas to serve from and what the catering entails on the day.
Shortly after, Robyn and her gang appeared to give us a tour of the venue and letting Beth and Ben know where they would like Hog Roast Oundle team to serve their reception drinks from, the area they would like the canapés to be circled around and the area that they were thinking for the serve. Despite originally wanting Hog Roast Oundle outside in the grass courtyard, they concluded that serving inside would be a lovely idea just in case it rained and so that the room could be submerged in the delicious smell of roasting pig! Being inside also gives it more of a theatre aspect for them and their guests with the turning pig on the pole.
Everything was discussed regarding the menu, timings, space so that the day will run smoothly with Hog Roast Oundle’s responsibilities. Meetings like this are always made easier when the clients are so energetic, enthusiastic, and lovely!
Ben and Beth look forward to catering at the venue and for the charming couple in September!
