Hog Roast Brixworth has provided the food for events at many lovely venues over the years and just recently we were very impressed with the home where we catered in the attractive village of Spratton. The large and pretty garden at the rear was the perfect place for a summer function with food and drink served, and that’s just what we did with our classic Private Party Menu Option 4 for 40 guests, as well as a drinks service by one of our team.
When our customer Jonathan booked Hog Roast Brixworth for our renowned catering services, he asked us to cook a slowly-roasted pig to serve with apple sauce and stuffing, as well as crackling carved straight off the hog. We serve the meat and crackling together with crusty bread rolls and a selection of sauces, so we often make our guests pigs in buns, which is our name for hog roast rolls. We’re famous for them and you’ll see why once you’ve seen, smelled and then tasted one – they’re mouth-wateringly delicious!
With the Private Party Menu Option 4, you can alternatively ask us to cook barbecued meat, a slow-roasted spring lamb, a whole slow-roasted turkey, a local free range slow-roasted chicken, a slow-roasted sirloin of roast beef or Thai chicken kebabs with marinated spare ribs, and there’s even a vegetarian option too, such as veggie kebabs. Additionally, you can select three salad dishes or seasonal vegetables if preferred and a potato option such as jacket wedges, a new potato salad, warmed new potatoes in a herb butter, baked potatoes, or new potatoes roasted with rosemary and garlic. There’s plenty of food with this particular menu, which is why it’s so popular for alfresco dining.
On the day of the party, our chef Ben and his team arrived in plenty of time in order to prep and then slowly roast the hog for hours. With the Private Party Menu Option 4, the food is served on real crockery for a somewhat more formal feel. On this day at 5.30pm, Hog Roast Brixworth served the 40 guests some lovely food on lovely crockery outside in the lovely garden, and the weather stayed – you guessed it – lovely!
