Hog Roast Rothwell Rustled Up A Tasty Hog Roast For This Christening Garden Party

Helping parents celebrate important milestones in their children’s lives is something that the Hog Roast Rothwell team will always count as a blessing, and recently we were called in to do just that by doting parents Hannah and Alex! With big plans for their little boy Henry Alexandra’s christening, the couple confided in a close friend who after using our services in the past suggested that they take a look at our wide range of catering packages which can make any event feel extra special.

Hog Roast Rothwell Following through with their friend’s recommendation, Hannah picked up the phone and dialled our number where she was put through to catering manager Ben who was more than happy to talk her through the options we have on offer. Since the couple had invited 80 guests to the occasion and were planning on hosting the reception at their home, it was decided that our classic hog roast menu would be the most suitable as it has been known to tempt even the fussiest of eaters!

On the day of the christening, the Hog Roast Rothwell crew turned up six hours early to begin preparations for the afternoon’s celebrations. With a large and spacious back garden, there was plenty of room for the team to set up our lightweight and portable equipment as well as a trio of gazebos among the colourful bouncy castles and children’s space hoppers. When Alex and Hannah arrived home with their guests in tow and newly christened son, they were blown away by the delicious feast that was laid out before them. A whole slow-roasted pig with crispy crackling was sizzling away on a bed of savoury stuffing, aromatic rosemary seasoned spring lamb was laid out beside sirloin of roast beef, gourmet sausages and meaty marinated spare ribs that the guests couldn’t wait to get stuck into! For vegetarians and vegans, the team had rustled up our famous grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi and with plenty of gluten-free rolls and wraps to go around, everyone was eager to create their own flavour combinations using the condiments and meats on offer.
