Hog Roast Peterborough was honoured to accept a repeat booking from the charming Danny at Hain’s Daniels Group LTD. Danny booked the same menu as last time as it had received positive reviews and many compliments. It was nice that Hog Roast Peterborough was selected over other options available as it reflects on the quality of our service and food.
Last time, Danny had Hog Roast Peterborough over four days however, this week he decided on a two-day serve. So that no shift misses out on the special treat, the serves are split into two. The Monday serve was from 11am until 2pm, and the later serve was from 5pm until 8pm. Thankfully, the team brought the sunshine with them as it turned out to be a warm and sunny day and evening despite the overcast, cold start.
The menu was the same for both serves with the larger number of servings in the day. The employees enjoyed Hog Roast Peterborough’s classic slow-roasted pig with crunch crackling and flavourful stuffing, skin-on fries fried on site and crisp coleslaw freshly prepared on site. A selection of rolls and wraps were on offer with a selection of sauces as well. The wraps went down particularly well with the employees as did the sweet chilli sauce. This pattern was highlighted in the day and evening serves.
During the daytime serve Danny had organised a partnering charity to come and do some magic while the employees queued for food. They certainly brought entertainment, living up to the charity’s name of ‘Spread a Smile’. The company had chosen this special charity as their charity of the year continuing the support for the rest of 2021. The charity provides entertainment like magicians for children in hospitals, amazing work with amazing people who even enjoyed some of the food on offer!
It was a great atmosphere, and the food was enjoyed by all with many compliments. Catering manager Beth and her dad, Russ look forward to repeating the job on Wednesday!
