Recently, the Hog Roast Brixworth team were hired by a local client, Gary, for a private event at a local home in Northampton. The event was for an eighteenth birthday party that was hosted inside the house while the food was cooked under a marquee outside which was provided the Hog Roast team.
The client requested for the Hog Roast Brixworth team to cook Menu Three from their collection which was a classic Hog Roast menu of a slow roast pig served as the centrepiece on a long buffet table. The Hog was served as crispy crackling, homemade stuffing and apple sauce. In addition a vegetarian option of lightly grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers served with pitta breads and a tzatziki dip. The meat was cooked in one of the Hog Roast team’s professional Hog Master machines which ensured that the Hog was evenly cooked and the meat did not dry out as it mimicked the traditional spit roasting of cooking. The food was served in heated metal dishes to ensure that food remained warm throughout the service, especially as the buffet was cooked outside.
The buffet was served to sixty people at 4:30 pm and so it was important that all of the food was ready on time for such an important occasion. In addition, the Hog Roast Brixworth team has to ensure that they maintained the quality of the food throughout the service so that everyone could enjoy some lovely food. Furthermore, as the service replaced the guests’ evening meal, it was crucial that the team served more than enough food so that none of the guests went home hungry. Overall, the guests were really pleased with the food, none more so than the client who was very impressed by the professional service despite the causal style food. The service was led by the Hog Roast Brixworth team’s Catering Manager, Ben, who did a great job of ensuring that all of the food was cooked perfectly. The event suited the Hog Roast Brixworth team well and Ben was really pleased with the service and the buffet food.
