Can you believe that October is almost over already? Us neither! But since there’s no stopping the clock, we’ve begun casting our sights ahead of time, to November and December.
Knowing that Guy Fawkes Night will be upon us soon enough, we’ve been helping our customers and clients to prepare for the occasion by assisting them with their catering plans. From elaborate sit-down dinners to cosy bonfire barbeques and everything in between, there’s no job too big – or too small – for Hog Roast Astrop to handle, and we’ve been called in to cover all of them!
Among our many, many bookings, we recently received a request from a new corporate client named Archie, whose business is situated a little way outside of our usual vicinity. Despite this, our team was more than happy to take on the event, which will see 250 members of staff from across several locations come together for an evening of fun.
With it being Bonfire Night, Archie has, of course, arranged for a professional fireworks display to take place on the premises, as well as a controlled bonfire where the staff will be welcome to piece together and roast their own smores over the flames. There will also be plenty of team-building games and a raffle with excellent prizes for the guests to enjoy.
Hog Roast Astrop’s role will be to keep everyone warm from within by serving the large group a delicious feast of spit-roasted pork with homemade sage and onion stuffing, gorgeously crisp pork crackling, sweet and zesty applesauce and freshly tossed garden salads, all compiled into a choice of gluten-free or wholemeal rolls for easy munching.
Archie has also let us know that his business employs several vegetarian and vegan employees, so our catering managers, Sophie and Jordan, offered to include our sumptuous BBQ pulled jackfruit buns with flavour-bursting hickory sauce and a vegan coleslaw dressing. Hearing that we have meat-free menu items was a huge relief for the client, and with every angle covered, he’s excited to see what Hog Roast Astrop’s famous catering crew delivers on the day. Well, he’s not going to be disappointed, that’s for sure!
