Hog Roast Oundle

When Edward contacted Hog Roast Oundle a while back to ask about catering a wedding anniversary party for his parents, he was hoping for a wide variety of foods to be served, so that various tastes and diets could all be covered. He’d asked family members and friends for their opinions on what food to be served and had come to the conclusion that he needed several meats and several other dishes served in order to please everyone, so when we told him about our Southern Slow Roast Menu, he was surprised to find out that it would be perfect for this party.

With your choice of three marinated meats from a possible five (all marinated in our secret recipe rubs) and four side dishes from a possible seven (with both hot and cold options available), the Southern Slow Roast Menu can certainly satisfy different tastes but it also comes with a vegetarian option as well, if needed. For this party, Edward decided on us cooking sticky pork ribs, whole roasted chickens and spicy lamb, accompanied by three special sauces and served alongside mac and cheese, sweet potato wedges, coleslaw and corn cobettes, as well as veggie skewers for the vegetarian guests.

On the day of his parents’ party, our Hog Roast Oundle team arrived at the private home venue a few hours before service, set up our equipment and then set the meats cooking at a low temperature. Before long it was time to cook the rest of the feast and by 5.30pm, the guests had all arrived to wonderful aromas and plenty of delicious food just waiting to be devoured.
