Hog Roast Thrapston – Catering For All Your Dietary Needs

Soon after announcing the exciting news of their engagement to family and friends, reality often sets in as the betrothed couples begin the notoriously stressful journey of planning their wedding. But while venue hunting, colour matching and finding *the* dress are important; one thing everyone can agree on is that no ceremony is complete without a slap-up meal to round off the day! Unfortunately, finding the right catering service can be a complicated experience for many newlyweds-to-be, especially if there are budget restraints weighing in; but luckily for one pair, they found our team at Hog Roast Thrapston who were able to offer them the wedding menu of their dreams at a competitive price for their 120 guests.

Hog Roast ThrapstonWith Hog Roast Thrapston’s catering managers Ben and Beth handling the details of event, Mr and Mrs Dougall were in good hands, and with less than a few months to spare before the big day, they were invited to a meeting to discuss what foods they would be keen to see on the menu. After some thought, the couple decided on a delicious three-course feast with vegan and vegetarian options for those following meat-free diets as well as the addition of our inclusive gluten-free rolls and wraps.

When the special day finally arrived, the Hog Roast Thrapston team headed off to Sussex Barn, a stunning venue hidden away on the North Norfolk Coast which has retained its 18th-century charm with stone flagged floors and rustic beams. Wasting no time, the crew set straight to work and by 4 pm they had finished creating the exquisite afternoon menu.

The bride and groom were ecstatic when they arrived to see the food was ready to be served, and after taking their seats the guests were presented with the first course: a beautiful plate of smoked salmon and prawns with mini broccoli and cheese quiche for vegetarians and a bean salad for vegans. As always, we’re pleased to share that the food went down a treat with the wedding party who couldn’t wait to fill their plates with succulent carvings from the hog roast buffet and the yummy desserts which rounded off the evening.
